2013-M01 "Oh My ..........!" Mystery

yay me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


firstly i would like to thank Evelyn for doing such a marvelous job on this mystery ....... and of course my husband for all his support

bahhhhaahaaahaaah ... i win ... yay ...

Seriously, thank you for allowing me to host this mystery. It has been both fun presenting this mystery and agony too (like pulling hen's teeth) with all the block name guesses because you all wanted to incorporate the mystery name as well, even though all along I have clearly stated it is the block name I was looking for.

The first thing I could think of when I designed the mystery was "Oh My Stars!".
That is why I called it "Oh My ............ Stars" Mystery, and hoped too that the name would give a clue to the block name.

I guess I should be thinking about sending out the final instalment now since we have a winner? The sooner I do that the sooner the little quilts will start appearing in the Mystery Gallery? Pics of quilt tops are most welcome too please? We all want to share and be inspired.

Don't forget, there is a prize too for the first one to fully complete their project, and put their pic in the gallery, but it must be fully quilted and bound to be a winner.

That looks great Bobbie! If you are happy with it like it is without any other borders on it then go for it. Will make it easier and quicker to fully complete too!!!

oh there is not enough room in the bus for me to stipple .... need at least a 4x4 metre room ... cos if i throw the machine in the bus it will hit something and either break or bounce back and bite me ...... bigger room ... less chance of the latter happening ...

so ... ummmmmmm .... in the ditch ...

I thought you liked stippling Bobbie? Given how small the table topper is I didn't think it would take a 4 x 4 mt space, till I saw you might be performing an unknown stippling technique that involves throwing the machine across the other side of the room!


It would quilt up pretty quick either way.......... but I am not sure about the use of the unknown stippling technique though!!!

oh that technique is only used in emergencies .... sort of like ... in case of fire break glass ... this one is ... in case of meltdown ... break machine ...

nah .... i bin busy sewing tiny bits of fabric together ... and now i am going for a swim with hubby ...

Ladies, Bobbie has contacted me and said she was serious about not claiming the second small prize for putting up the first picture of the finished quilt (fully quilted and bound), so at this time the second small prize is still available to the first one to post their finished quilts in the mystery gallery!! (Thank you Bobbie for your generosity!)

I am putting a time limit on this though, and if we have no further pictures posted in the gallery of finished quilts by midnight, 16 March 2013,
then the second small prize will revert back to Bobbie!

Why midnight the 16 March 2013?
Well, that is International Quilting Day of course!

Because I am not into helping others create extra UFO's.....
. And because I too am feeling in a generous mood (at the moment) .....
. And would love to see all quilts in this first mystery actually get fully completed ........

I am offering a small 'special award/prize' for all participants who post pictures of their completed quilts by midnight, 16 March 2013.
This means all participants could win a small prize (and Bobbie would still get two!) just for completing their quilt by the deadline.
