2014-M01 "Not So Shabby" Mystery Table Runner

sounds like fun ... reckon i could find 4 fatties for this .... maybe not shabby ... but i have something among the stash .... just have to dig out the stash .... oh .. but now i have somewhere to put it ... it has its own little room ... woohoo ... Marcos said he will empty the trailer and the stuff from under the bus bed tomorrow ... and then i can sort it at my leisure ... 

i think i will enjoy this living in a house thing ... for a while at least .... 

so .. yep .. count me in Evelyn ...

ok .. got my second installment .. for the cutting and slashing of perfectly good fabric into little bits ... 

now to go and pick out some fabric ... it is in the area that it has to live in ... but .. still not at all sorted or organised .. that will come at a much later time ... hopefully when i don't have 8 tubs of fabric to sort ... haha ..

I have decided I HAVE to find the fabrics for this project in my stash.
I think I will be sewing wadding strips from trimmed quilts together to use too!
And the backing.......... maybe I will do a second version and make it reversible?  

oh i have stuff to use for backing ... heaps of the stuff ... and wadding ... it is just the fabrics ... i have 2 lots ... can't make up my mind which to use .. have posted pics of both and ... i have enough green for 2 ... so i may end up doing 2 yet ... cos i don't know which choice to chose ... 

 

I love the first lot of fabrics you put up Bobbie, they are really 'me' colours. The second set would be equally as sweet when made up too! Great colour picking there on two counts!!!

ok .... i am not sure which fabrics i went with ... but the cut out chopped up slashed to pieces fabric photo is in the gallery ... 

all ready for the next installment ... 

will probably take me a month of sundays to put it all together .... haha ...

I wonder how many others have a stash full of impulsive purchases like I do?
I was very brave to say I was going to get my fabrics from my stash. 
I eventually managed to do it and now I have no less than three colourways to choose from!!! 
Yikes! Another decision!

Hi, Evelyn, I will sew the #3 clue this morning,,,,,,,,, my runner is going to be mild, my choice of medium pink is too light, when I make another one as a gift, I will pick a darker pink.  My kitchen table is 5x3 feet, it will be necessary to add a section or two. hugs, Lorna 

i will have to get a bit of a wriggle on ... i have really not done much more than cut it all out ... trying to uppack stuff as i need it ... bit of a shambles really .. but i am having fun none the less .... 

and Marcos is pleased that i am actually sitting at the machine doing stuff ... 


pulled out something i should not have today ... and have been playing with it tonight ... ..... well it is sort of unpacking ... lol ... in a funny round about way ....
