Okay mug rug finished and ready to post.....

What can I say I was very inspired - cleaned up the craft room and played with some lovely scraps of green.

I made the top for mine on Wednesday, but I needed some black fabric,, so I bought some yesterday along with my red and hearts and cupid stuff. if we don't loose our power i will try to finish ir tomorrow. Will post picture as soon as it is finished.

Hope the pic gives you lots of inspiration Bobbie... I found that pinterest site was the best for ideas - and then designed one myself. I'm not usually this creative or fast I've had a quilt flush (sort of like a hot flush) that made me finished a quilt top that I'd been doing for over 7-8 years and it's only 31" - didn't like the fabric but this year is the completion of UFO'S in my workroom and that includes my embroidery, cross stitch, knitting, scrapbooking and painting....

Oh I just scared myself I shouldn't have listed it all.

lol ... i have very very few things left Michele .. after my big clean out to go into the bus ... but .. to be really honest .. i still have way tooooooooooo many ufo's to be carting about with me ... i should get more done while we are here ...

Hey Lorna. I usually make mine around 9X6 but I think this one may be a bit bigger. I think you can make then whatever size rectangle you want. but 9X6 seems pretty standard

i generally do mine ... 6 x 10 ... sometimes they are a little bigger ... i start them off 1/2 inch to 1 inch bigger so that i can trim them back and make them 'straight' .. cos sometimes the quilting makes them go out of shape ... and i do like to have them as neat as possible ...

if i am using a panel or something along that line they do tend to end up a bit bigger at times ... and some i have done are as big as 6 x 12 inches ... but i try not to make them any bigger than that .. they get a bit expensive to mail if they are too big ...

oh and they can be shapes too ... like the one Evelyn made in the last swap ..... a heart .... very cute ...
