Current Project

Thanks Girls... it is a lovely cradle and Lauren is very excited to be using it... Greg has headed to Perth this morning for his yearly heart check up with the specialist and he has it in the back of the car for her...

I have been asked to make a quilt for a friend who has just become Grandparents they would like it based on Aussie animals and I found the perfect quilt patterns for it... I am using animals out of both patterns... lots of applique (sewing) will show some pic's of what I have sewn so far in the next few days...

i am sewing at last .. doing my swaps here and also trying to finish a quilt top i started years ago ... one that was started when i was with International Friendship Quilters ...
it is called ... the ostrich bom ... i would love to do one here ... just a matter of doing up the pattern sheets i guess .... not that hard really ...

Ok the first block is completed now to the next one which is a dingo carrying a knife and fork...... photo in the gallery.

the patterns are from Millamac and I purchased two of them so I could mix the blocks up to what we have in our area well mostly ... one thing I did notice though ''no kangaroo''???
The Grandparents did help choose the animals too... and now that the baby is here ''a little girl'' I can add more pink here and there.

That is beautiful Tarnyia and I especially LOVE the gum leaves and flowers! It sounds like a very fun quilt..... a dingo with cutlery.......... ha ha can't wait to see what else there is in the mix.................

Greg and I did have a giggle at the dingo too... especially seeing he is a ''dogger''...

Number 6 is a GIRL who looks more like her big brother than her big sister. But having said that, they are both very cute too! Mummy and baby Zara both doing just fine!!! Grandma can't wait to meet the new addition in person and have my first cuddle!!

Still raining with heavy winds here and not the kind of weather to be out in unless you have to be. Fingers crossed, tomorrow or the next day will be better??

Congratulations! I think it has evened up the grandchild numbers though being a girl?

raining today ... soooooo .... lovely and cool ... will be able to sit and finish off the placemats for BB (Bree-Anna's nickname) and Shyanne .. they are very pretty and i want to have them done by tonight ..... and that should be done cos it is only the hand sewing on the binding left ..... but that is the bit i really don't like ... haha

i made a couple of placemats for the girls ... there is a pic in the gallery ....

bree-anna loves lello .. and shyanne loves blue .. so these fabrics worked beautifully in these ...

yes the girls got them last night and BB just sat and stroked hers ... she was sooooooo cute ... shyanne loved the colours in hers ... they both got used when they had dinner and ... they were both good girls ... ate all their dinner and did not make a mess .... Roxi said that it was a nice change ... for little girls they are very messy eaters ...

clearly she has not watched their nana too closely when she eats ... i always end up with something spilt down the front of me .....

she is clearly a very touchie feelie little person .... likes running her hands over just about anything .... she is a proper little girly girl too .... likes all things pretty and her favourite colour in all the world is ... lellow ... sometimes she likes pink ... but lellow is best ..
