| it takes a couple of days for me to get stuff from them ... you live in Victoria ... so do they ...
but all in all their service is very prompt ... i am looking forward to getting my next lot .. hopefully on monday otherwise kate will have to redirect it for me ...
my current project is getting all my stuff into the bus .... so far so good ... i have almost all my sewing stuff in ... it is all under the bed ... soooooooooooo excellent ... the kitchen and living area gets done tomorrow .. then sunday a rest day i hope ... and then head off on monday .... we won't be going too far tho ... have to get water onboard so may just go up to the old hannaford hall and stay overnight there and grab a little bit of water while we are there ... seems like a good plan to me ... but for now .. i am off to bed cos this little girl had a very big day ..
night all ... | |

| I am almost finished making the second watermelon fabric skirt for my eldest granddaughter. The youngest one has hers already and loves it.
Am also in the process of making a nappy bag for the nephew and his wife who are due to have their first child in February. They don't know what they are having but decided they wanted Winnie the Pooh theme........... And lucky them because I had some in my stash! Pics later in the gallery. | |

| sounds great ... love winnie and his mates ... i have 2 projects to make with them ... i call them projects cos neither of them could be called a quilt .. altho the lady who wants them does ... one is the size of a pram base and the other around 3 times that ... and all done with bits and pieces of secondhand .. well worn secondhand doona covers ... which should be rather interesting .. i may end up chucking what she gave me and just use some panels i have stashed away in the under part of my bed ... | |

| If they are worn Bobbie, then they won't last too long will they? All your time and hard work will be wasted. Better to speak with your lady friend and explain that while recycling is good for patchwork, the fabric still has to have some life in it. What did she want the 'quilts' for? If it is to dress a doll's bed that won't get played with then maybe you can still use the worn fabric? I would be testing the fabric with quilting lines to see how it will react before committing too much time and effort. | |

| Today I chopped up half a box of bargain price tomatoes and cooked them in my new heavy cast iron dutch oven. They reduced down nicely to a thick sauce consistency. I added some onion, curry and rice and cooked a little more then added some steamed sweet potato. Smells divine! I am slicing bbq sausages to fold through it and then......... having dinner........ anyone? | |

| You are welcome any time Val for sausage hot pot. Call me as you are walking out the house and it is sure to be done by the time you get here. As for adding turmeric, I have never used that in hot pots before, only in pickles. Hmmmmm? Might have to become more inventive/adventurous in 2013. Now there is a good New Years resolution if ever there was one! My Christmas decorations were fairly sparse this year.......... so even if I left them up till the 6th, I will still have to dust!!!! Hmmmmm? Wonder if I should just add a few more decorations to cover the dust? I am actually hoping to get an early start on 'spring' cleaning (or, is that a 'late start' on last Spring's cleaning? Probably!! ha ha) Any way, no holidays for me as I have lots to sort through and hopefully downsize............ but not the stash mind you, although I do intend to make a dent in that this coming year as well........ yes, another New Years resolution........... watch this space! | |

| Well Val I think you should just throw a wonderful hand made rug over the whole lot and leave them there till next year. Dust will be covered and people can admire your wonderful handiwork. | |

| I have been sewing sewing sewing and crocheting... I have posted a photo (with the hijacked camera) of some pillow/cushion that I have made for my eldest daughter birthday next week. I am in the middle of a baby quilt for my niece who is expecting a boy towards the end of April... and I have my orange and grey lotto blocks together and now all ready with backing and batting for quilting... | |

| Lovely cradle Tarnyia. Congratulations on the first grandson as well! When is he due? We are expecting our 6th bundle of joy next Wednesday.............. don't know if it will be pink or blue because no one is telling anyone anything, but I did see a 3D scan of the baby's face and this one looks so much like the big brother, and not the big sister.............. so I am leaning towards blue? If I am not mistaken, that gives me a 50/50 chance of being correct! Watch this space............... | |
