My Mug Rug arrived today, Thank You Sender!!!

I don't know where my mind was this afternoon, well I do but I am not willing to admit it?...... . Lets just say it was MIA shall we? But this evening it has returned and I am here to say..........

My Piano mug rug arrived in this afternoon's post and I am doing this right now!!!!
Thank you Jan, it is even more beautiful than the picture!!!

Jan's description was:
"tea and music in the garden - raw edge applique, machine quilting - the swirls are steam from your cup of tea or coffee"
I will be sure to try it out in the garden as soon as it stops raining!

In the mean time............. it works just great indoors too!

they are amazing, many thanks Evelyn, from both Hannah and myself, I have mine on my computer table, and Hannah is snuggled up on the floor with her mugrug and her bickie and drink. We love them and they will get lots of use!

well .. the postie brought me a very special parcel this afternoon ....


and when i saw the sender i thought ... hmmmm what is Linda sending me ....



then when i opened the squishy i found a delightful green and purple (perfect colours) mugrug ... then it dawned on me why Linda was sending me something ... (honestly so daft really as i set the partners !!!!!) ...

Great to see stuff is starting to arrive ... hopefully we will get photos in the gallery when everyone gets their parcels ...

how absolutely sooooooooooooo rude of me ... i never thanked you Linda ...


i really love my new mugrug .... it is beautiful ... and so wonderfully made too .... love the butterfly and the buttons .... thank you .. thank you ... thank you ... you are a most wonderful partner ...

Jan: your piano mug rug was a big hit with the sewing girls today and one lady confiscated it to put it into a craft display at the church hall on Thursday. Bobbie, she also took your Christmas hexagon table centre as well!!! I had better get them both back next Tuesday and in good condition or else!!!!

wow .. i feel a bit special to think something i made will be in a craft display ... would not have thought anything i made would be that worthy .. haha ... thanks for letting me know ..... i am sure you will get it back ... most all of us quilters are honest folk ... (even if i keep threatening to steal everyone's quilts ) ...

Of course your work is display worthy Bobbie! And the visitors to the display will love seeing it too! A lot of the display visitors that come to view the exhibits are not patchworkers. And it is NOT the ones who threaten to steal the quilts you have to watch out for......... it's the sneaky ones who don't say anything and don't give you any warnings! Those are the ones you have to watch out for!!! haha I am sure I will get both items back, mainly because the lady who took them will be hovering around on guard! haha

My Mug Rug from Irene arrived today. Gorgeous colours - blues and purples - with beautiful butterflies and yummy looking cup cakes outlined in silver.

Evelyn, I am flattered that the music mug rug was taken for display - WOW. It was basically very simple, but I loved the design otherwise I wouldn't have stitched it. Simple is good, ornate is good, it's all good!!!

I am still deciding if I will make it into a wall hanging/bag pocket/needle book, or keep it as is for my dieter's mug rug??? No room for CAKE on this one!!!

I would just go ahead and use it Karen. Tea and Coffee dying is all the rage! And you can always add more patches to cover any offending coffee rings/spills and no one will even notice!

I love my newest mugrug ... and it is the very very brightest of yellow colours .... almost hurts the eyes looking at it ... good thing i have sunglasses ... heeeheee!!!!
